        <h3 id="t1"><span class="cn">1</span> Who we are</h3>
        <p>Kautuki operates an online marketplace that connects students with independent teachers for live tutoring. Kautuki facilitates discovery, booking and payments; teaching is provided by independent teachers, not by Kautuki directly.</p>

          <p>We are the marketplace, not the tutor. We verify every teacher by hand before they can appear &mdash; the <a href="safety.php">checks are set out here</a> &mdash; but the class itself is taught by that teacher.</p>

        <h3 id="t2"><span class="cn">2</span> Eligibility &amp; accounts</h3>
        <ul>
          <li>You must provide accurate information when you request access or create an account.</li>
          <li>If you are a minor, you may use the Services only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.</li>
          <li>You are responsible for activity that takes place through your account and for keeping your login (OTP) secure.</li>

          <p>Most of our students are children, so a parent or guardian needs to be involved in the account. There is no password to lose &mdash; sign-in is a one-time code sent to the registered mobile number.</p>

        <h3 id="t3"><span class="cn">3</span> Bookings, classes &amp; payments</h3>
        <ul>
          <li>Prices shown on the site are indicative; final prices are set by each teacher and confirmed at checkout.</li>
          <li>Payments are collected securely through our payment partner, Razorpay.</li>
          <li>Your first session with any teacher is free, subject to fair-use limits to prevent abuse.</li>
          <li>Cancellations and refunds are governed by our <a href="refund.php">Refund Policy</a>.</li>

          <p>Every rupee figure on this site is illustrative. The rate that binds is the one on the teacher&rsquo;s own profile, shown before you book &mdash; you pay per class, with no package and no deposit.</p>

        <h3 id="t4"><span class="cn">4</span> Teacher terms</h3>
        <p>Teachers must pass our verification checks before offering classes, must provide services professionally and lawfully, and are responsible for the accuracy of their profile and the quality of their teaching. Payout terms, commissions and withdrawal timelines are set out in the teacher onboarding agreement.</p>

      <article class="clause">
        <h3 id="t5"><span class="cn">5</span> Acceptable use</h3>
        <p>You agree not to misuse the Services, including by: sharing unlawful, harmful or infringing content; harassing other users; attempting to bypass payments or verification; or interfering with the security or operation of the platform.</p>

        <h3 id="t6"><span class="cn">6</span> Intellectual property</h3>
        <p>The Kautuki name, logo, site design and content are owned by Kautuki and protected by law. Content uploaded by teachers or students remains theirs, but you grant Kautuki a licence to host and display it as needed to operate the Services.</p>

          <p>Your child&rsquo;s notebook, and a teacher&rsquo;s notes, stay theirs. The licence exists so we can store a recording and show it back to you &mdash; not so we can sell it on.</p>

        <h3 id="t7"><span class="cn">7</span> Disclaimers &amp; limitation of liability</h3>
        <p>The Services are provided on an &ldquo;as is&rdquo; and &ldquo;as available&rdquo; basis. Kautuki acts as an intermediary and is not responsible for the conduct of any teacher or student. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kautuki&rsquo;s liability arising from your use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.</p>

          <p>We do not promise a grade &mdash; marks belong to your child and the work they put in. What we commit to is a verified teacher, a class that runs, and a record of it afterwards. If something goes wrong with a class you paid for, the claim is measured against what you paid for that class.</p>

        <h3 id="t8"><span class="cn">8</span> Suspension &amp; termination</h3>
        <p>We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for breach of these Terms or to protect users and the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time.</p>

          <p>There is no notice period and nothing to cancel: with no package or subscription to unwind, stopping simply means not booking another class.</p>

        <p>These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai shall have jurisdiction, subject to applicable law.</p>
